Groundwork El Paso: Changing Places, Changing Lives
Groundwork El Paso is a nonprofit corporation working with the El Paso community to help people reclaim and revitalize their neighborhoods in areas that the government and private sectors have either abandoned or have little capacity to address. Groundwork El Paso helps plan and implement sustainable, on-the-ground improvements…
FOR PEOPLE
Creating opportunities to learn new skills and take local action.
FOR PLACES
Creating better, safer, and healthier neighborhoods.
FOR PROSPERITY
Helping businesses and individuals fulfill their potential.
While Groundwork El Paso is its own non-profit, it is also one of 15 Groundwork programs across the country with support from the Environmental Protection Agency Brownfield Program and the National Park Services Rivers & Trails. Other programs are in communities from San Diego, California to Providence, Rhode Island. This national network is based on the successful Groundwork movement in the Great Britain, where more than 50 Groundwork Trusts operate from Northern Ireland to London.
